Daniel Okafor, the second son of the renowned actor John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu, has fervently contested the recent claims made by Stella Okafor, the actor’s wife. Stella took to her Instagram platform last Sunday to make serious allegations against Jasmine, Mr. Ibu’s adopted child. According to Stella, Jasmine allegedly seized control of the bank account designated for receiving well-intentioned donations from Nigerians for Mr. Ibu’s ailing health.
In her Instagram post, Stella expressed her inability to access the main Access bank account where donations were being deposited. She accused Jasmine of operating the account clandestinely while concocting lies and engaging in propaganda against her to maintain absolute control.
“I do not have access to the main Access bank account where people make donations. It is being secretly controlled by Jasmine, yet she is cooking up all kinds of lies and propaganda against me to keep absolute control of that account. How she manipulated her way and took control of that account is a story for another day,” Stella’s post read.
In response, PUNCH Online reached out to Jasmine for her side of the story. However, Jasmine declined to comment on the ongoing online drama, emphasizing her primary concern for her father’s well-being.
“I do not want to be involved with the online drama, at least not yet. I am more concerned for Daddy’s well-being,” Jasmine stated.
She suggested that the correspondent speak with Mr. Ibu’s son, Daniel Okafor, who later confirmed his identity.
“My name is Daniel Okafor; I am John Okafor’s second son. There is no truth in what Stella Maris has been sharing online. Jasmine does not have access to that account; I have access to it. I am the signatory to the account and my father’s next of kin,” Daniel clarified.
Daniel also disclosed that Stella Maris is his stepmother but opted not to share more details about his biological mother, stating, “She is my stepmother. My mother is not around at the moment.”
