The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Lagos Zonal Command, has initiated a probe into the activities of Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, in response to allegations of currency abuse.

The investigation was triggered by a viral video purportedly showing Bobrisky lavishly spraying and displaying bundles of Naira notes at the premiere of the movie “Ajakaju,” produced by Nollywood actress Eniola Ajao.

The premiere took place at the Film One Circle Mall in Lekki, Lagos, on March 24, 2024, prompting the EFCC’s intervention.

Confirming the inquiry, the EFCC announced via its social media handle that operatives of the Lagos Zonal Command had commenced investigations into Bobrisky’s actions, citing the video evidence of him spraying and flaunting wads of new Naira notes at the movie premiere.
