In a recent turn of events, Nigerian acting legend Mr. John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu, has undergone a life-saving amputation procedure at a hospital. The latest update has been confirmed by his daughter, Jasmine Okafor, who took to her social media platforms to express her heartfelt appreciation for the outpouring of support.
Jasmine Okafor wrote, “Good afternoon, Nigerians. We want to express our deep gratitude to everyone who has rallied behind our father. Words cannot convey the extent of our appreciation, and only the grace of the Almighty can adequately thank you all for your invaluable assistance.”
She continued, “Today, at noon, Daddy underwent seven successful surgeries. Regrettably, in order to safeguard his life and enhance his chances of recovery, one of his legs had to be amputated.”
“This development has been an immense emotional burden for our family, but we have come to terms with it as our father’s new reality, all in the name of preserving his life.”
Jasmine Okafor humbly requested, “We are still seeking support from compassionate Nigerians. At this stage, our father’s condition remains quite delicate, and he requires all the assistance he can get.”
“Thank you to everyone. The Okafor family is deeply appreciative, and we hold your generosity in the highest regard. In time, our father will personally express his gratitude to all those who stood by him during this challenging period, as soon as he regains stability,” she concluded.
