Breaking: NANNM Reveals I.D of Suspect in Mohbad Injecting

Mohbad

In the wake of the tragic passing of renowned musician Ilerioluwa Aloba, widely known as Mohbad, a suspect allegedly involved in his care has been arrested. However, the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM) Lagos State Council has clarified that the individual in custody is not a registered nurse.

The NANNM issued a press statement on Saturday, September 23, expressing its heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the late artist during this challenging time. The association extended its thoughts and prayers to the bereaved as they mourn the untimely demise of Mohbad.

While the NANNM lends its full support to the ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death, it urges the relevant authorities to exhaust all avenues in the pursuit of justice.

The NANNM emphasized the paramount importance of professionalism in both reporting and conducting this investigation. Preliminary investigations conducted by the association have indicated that the individual reportedly taken into police custody for providing care to Mohbad is not a registered nurse.

In light of these findings, the NANNM stresses the critical necessity of verifying the qualifications and professional status of individuals before categorizing them as healthcare professionals. The association calls upon both investigative authorities and the media to exercise caution and accuracy throughout the investigation process.

In its statement, the NANNM reiterated its stance against any misrepresentation of nurses and the nursing profession, underscoring the need for responsible and diligent reporting in this sensitive matter.
