In his passion for service to God and humanity, Engr Dr Anayo Onwuegbu, the Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director of ANBEEZ Services Ltd, an indigenous construction firm, has impacted positively in the socio economic and political development of his immediate community of Akpugoeze,in Oji River local government area, Enugu state and beyond.
Thus,the social/traditional titles bestowed on him as “OMEIHEUKWU Akpugoeze and EBUBE Enugu state” befits him beyond explanations when compared to his generosity and philanthropy to humanity beings, the church,grass roots sports development, stimulating political development ,enhancement and empowerment of many in the political cycle of Enugu state and beyond.
Since every human is a political being, It is obvious that the present aspiration by Dr Onwuegbu to represent Aninri/Awgu/Oji River federal constituency in the national assembly (green Chambers) is borne out of his passion to continue rendering selfless services to humanity.
To a very large extent the “zoning principle” which is trying to be one of the major determinant factor in the 2023 politics of Enugu state is very much in favour of Oji River local government area,Where Engr. Dr Anayo Onwuegbu is one of the major PDP party leaders/stakeholders.
It was gathered that stakeholders of PDP in Oji River local government area are ankling that the zoning/rotation of power principle favours the local government to produce the next federal law maker of the constituency, arguing that the present federal law maker of the constituency, Hon Toby Okechukwu, who is on a third tenure should quit for somebody from Oji River council area, for peace, equity Fair play to reign in the area.
However, the issue of. micro- zoning among the communities that make up Oji Rivet council area,is one problem Chief Onwuegbu has to contend with. But since politics is full of dynamism, It was gathered that Dr Onwuegbu is leaving no stone unturned towards the realisation of his ambition.
Many stakeholders expressed optimism that his wealth of experience in the construction firm will be an additional advantage in facilitating socio infrastructural development of Aninri /Awgu/Oji River federal constituency and Enugu state in general.
