Jubilation erupted yesterday at Iji-Nike Community in Enugu-East Local Government Area following the endorsement and presentation of staff of equity and justice by the community elders to Engr. Beloved Dan Anike, who is front runner for the office of the governor of Enugu State under the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
It could be recalled that members of the Enugu-East Council of Traditional Rulers had last week, endorsed the candidature of Engr. Pastor Beloved Dan Anike and urged all stakeholders to rally their support behind him.
Presenting the staff of equity and justice, at his residence, the eldest man in Iji-Nike, Chief Dominic Ifenze, alongside other elders; Chief Damian Ugwu and Chief Ben Okolie, eulogized the contributions of Engr. Beloved Dan Anike, when he was a community Leader adding that, “Enugu State would be in good stead if Engr. Beloved Dan Anike assumes office as governor”.
“We remember with nostalgia, your profound contributions when you were the Chairman of Umuchigbo Community. Today, our children have a primary and secondary school where they pursue there education courtesy of you.
“Today, we now boast of a community hall which you single handedly built. Under your leadership, land administration and land matters were treated with a sense of decorum and best practices.
“We know a good child from the early foot falls. You have held your own in the political landscape of Enugu State despite unwarranted intimidations meted upon. This governorship ambition of yours is a dream whose time has come’.
