Enugu State, September 18, 2023 – Igwe Dr. George Nwankwo Eze, a respected Royal Father from Umuokara Orba autonomous community in Udenu local government area of Enugu State, has expressed his admiration for Governor Peter Mbah and his Deputy, Ifeanyi Ossai, for their transparent and compassionate approach to the distribution of palliatives in the state.
In a recent interview with the press, Igwe Nwankwo Eze commended the Governor and his Deputy during a courtesy visit to the Deputy Governor’s office at the Government House on Friday, September 15, 2023. He was accompanied by several members of his cabinet.
The Royal Father highlighted the exceptional efforts of Governor Mbah and Deputy Governor Ossai in meeting the expectations of the people of Enugu. He emphasized that the people of the state stand firmly behind their leaders as they carry out their vital duties.
Igwe Nwankwo Eze was particularly impressed by the criteria used for the distribution of palliatives, describing it as a humanitarian exercise aimed at alleviating the suffering of the less privileged. He noted that the downtrodden members of society were fervently praying for God’s guidance for the Governor and Deputy Governor as they work diligently to minimize the hardships faced by the people through these palliatives.
Additionally, the Royal Father extended his gratitude to the Federal Government for initiating the palliative program, which subsequently spread to other states, with Enugu being the pioneer in its implementation. He lauded Deputy Governor Ifeanyi Ossai, who chairs the palliative committee, for his leadership and commitment to ensuring that justice is served in the distribution process.
The high point of the visit was the presentation of a symbolic gift to Deputy Governor Ifeanyi Ossai, symbolizing the goodwill and respect he has earned from the Royal Father and the community at large.
