Rivers State: Fubara signs 2024 budget passed by 5 lawmakers into law

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara has given assent to the appropriation bill of N800 billion naira.

Governor Fubara signed the bill into law at Government House in Port Harcourt on Thursday.

The governor explained that the 2024 budget of N800, 392, 485, 433.1kobo will provide his administration the framework for spending in 2024.

With it, he assured that his administration will undertake notable critical road projects like the phase 2 of the Trans-Kalabari road and the Elele-Omoku road projects.

These and many others will connect more communities across several local government to meet age long yearnings of Rivers people.

It could be recalled that the Rivers State 2024 Appropriation Bill was passed by 4 house of assembly members following the declaration of seats of 25 legislators vacant due to their defection from PDP to APC.
