ICPC Charges Suspended UNICAL Dean for Misconduct

Suspended UNICAL Dean, Professor Cyril Ndifon

In a significant development, the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has initiated legal proceedings against Professor Cyril Ndifon.

Professor Ndifon was suspended from his role as the Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Calabar (UNICAL) following a comprehensive investigation into allegations of serious misconduct involving some of his students.

The ICPC has formally filed a case, documented as FHC/ABJ/CR/511/2023, against the Senior Lecturer. This case comprises four charges, including sexual harassment, official corruption, and abuse of office, all of which are in violation of sections 8, 18, and 19 of the Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Act of 2000.
