Delta State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, has disclosed the tragic incident in which three murder suspects took the life of a barber in Eku, Delta State.
In a recent social media update on his X handle, Edafe recounted the events, stating, “Three young individuals in Eku, Delta State, engaged a barber in Abraka for a fee of N15,000. When the barber expressed his unavailability, the trio requested a refund.”
“The barber returned N5,000, assuring to settle the remainder the following day. Subsequently, the three individuals visited his shop to have their hair done, leading to a confrontation between them and the barber. In the course of the altercation, one of the suspects used an iron mopping stick to strike the barber.”
“Following the assault, the barber was swiftly taken to the hospital; however, he succumbed to his injuries during treatment. The implicated suspects are currently in custody at State CID Asaba.”
Edafe lamented, “This is a tragic incident that could have been prevented.”
