In a disturbing turn of events in Nza Ozubulu, Anambra State, a video circulating online has brought to light the harrowing ordeal of a 60-year-old man, known only as Mr. Kenneth, who reportedly met his demise under brutal circumstances.

The footage, which has gone viral, depicts Mr. Kenneth being subjected to relentless torture by a group of unidentified individuals, allegedly stemming from a dispute over property. According to accounts shared by Harrison Gwamnishu, an advocate for police reform, Mr. Kenneth had sold a water tank located on the family property to resolve some familial issues.

However, this decision allegedly irked his younger brother, leading to Mr. Kenneth’s arrest with the assistance of a local vigilante group.

Throughout the agonizing ordeal, captured in the distressing video, Mr. Kenneth can be heard pleading for mercy while his assailants accuse him of theft. Despite his desperate cries, the brutality persisted, ultimately resulting in his tragic demise.

The footage, which was viewed by Online, reveals the horrifying scene of Mr. Kenneth being viciously assaulted by two individuals wielding sticks. Bound and shirtless, he was defenseless against the onslaught of violence inflicted upon him.

The gravity of the situation is further underscored by Gwamnishu’s urgent plea to Governor Soludo and the Anambra State Police to ensure that the perpetrators face justice for their heinous actions. Moreover, concerns have been raised for Mr. Kenneth’s bereaved family, who reportedly face threats and intimidation for seeking justice.
