The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared its resolve to prosecute Nigerian Air Force (NAF) officers who were apprehended in Kaduna State on Friday.
This development unfolded amid a tense confrontation between military personnel and EFCC operatives, as the former attempted to liberate individuals detained for fraudulent activities.
In the aftermath of the clash, the detained NAF officers were released on administrative bail, following the prescribed bail procedures of the Commission. Offering an updated perspective on the matter, Dele Oyewale, the Head of Media and Publicity at EFCC, conveyed in a statement on Saturday that the officers will face charges in court upon the conclusion of the ongoing investigation.
Oyewale underscored the EFCC’s unwavering commitment to upholding the rule of law, emphasizing, “The Commission reiterates the principle that no one is exempt from the law, and the entire due process will be meticulously observed as we bring this case to a resolution.”
