Enugu now recording infrastructural transformation – Nwodo

Gov Peter Mbah

Enugu State Governor, Barr. Peter Mbah, has received commendation over his giant strides in infrastructure and other critical interventions across the state.

The commendation was made by an Enugu business mogul and an estate entrepreneur, Hon Chidera Nwodo, on Wednesday in Enugu at a workshop organized by a group of business owners to review the state of the economy and the way forward for their businesses.

Speaking at the occasion at the Independence Layout, Nwodo, who is into hospitality management and real estate development, said the governor is already transforming the state through massive infrastructural development, registering his presence across the council areas in the state.

He said over the past 8 months Enugu is witnessing a different shift from what the state used to be, and called on the stakeholders to support the governor in his effort to stamp his signature in terms of good governance.

“If you look at what is happening today across the country, you will understand that the Nigeria is in turbulence and things are difficult for the people. The economy is sliding in the midst of hyper-inflation. But does the country still have hope of bouncing back to life? My answer is yes. The federal government is putting measures to cushion the effect of the hardship.

“However, in Enugu State, we have seen what the governor is doing about the whole thing in order to insulate the state from the crisis.

“First is the way the governor is managing the welfare of the people especially the state workers. Few months ago, he increased their salaries through wage award. This act is meant to increase their purchase power, improve their living standard and enhance patronage of businesses.

“Again, the state is witnessing an infrastructural rebirth with the rate of the ongoing projects across the state. Recently I was at Ezeagu, and what I saw there gave me hope of a new Enugu State.
