APC Group Urges Tinubu’s Intervention in Enugu, Tackles Ugwuanyi

In a recent appeal, the group “ASIWAJU FOR GOOD GOVERNANCE” has urged President Bola Tinubu to intervene in the challenges facing Enugu State and the All Progressive Congress (APC) within the region.

The statement, signed by Chukwujekwu Emmanuel, Joseph Agbo Anike, and Peter James Eneh, highlights the need for addressing internal conflicts and promoting party unity in Enugu.

Emphasizing concerns regarding the administration of former Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi in Enugu state. They cited instances of political betrayal during the 2019 presidential elections and express disappointment with former governors’ lack of support for Tinubu’s candidacy.

The group raises doubts about Ugwuanyi’s suitability for future political roles.

“Apart from Seyi Mankinde of Oyo, and the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, the other three ex-governors openly worked against President Bola Tinubu and they know that Nigerians, including Asiwaju, are aware of their trajectory and duplicity” the statement reads.

“Now that they all lost out, the chickens have come home to roost and they have all become chess players battling for political survival” it added.

The statement also criticizes opportunistic behaviors within the party, questioning the credibility of certain political figures’ support for Tinubu. Allegations of political misconduct during the 2023 elections in Enugu further underscore the need for transparent and ethical leadership.

In conclusion, they urged President Tinubu to prioritize integrity and loyalty within the APC, emphasizing the importance of transparency in political appointments for the party’s credibility and success.
