According to ASP Mansir Hassan, Grace Chalya Silas was engaged in her regular early morning exercise along the GRA road in Barnawa when a group of criminals ambushed her, ostensibly with the intention of stealing her phone.
Tragically, in the course of a desperate struggle to wrest her phone away, one of the assailants resorted to using a sharp knife, resulting in a fatal stab wound that claimed her life. Swift action was taken by the authorities, and Grace Chalya Silas was rushed to Harmony Hospital, where her unfortunate passing was confirmed by the medical professionals.
