COVID-19: Catholic Bishops Support Enugu State Government, Make Donation

Catholic Leadership in Enugu state has paid visit to the State Multi-Sectoral Rapid Response Team for Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic with words of encouragement and solidarity.

The catholic leaders paid the visit at the early hours of today, Today, Friday, April 3, 2020 in other to up-light the moral of those in the frontline, combating covid19 scourge in the state and made donation in support of the team as well as the state government

Meanwhile the donation was received, on behalf of the team, by the Permanent Secretary, State Ministry of Health, Dr. Ifeanyi Agujiobi while the state governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi used the occasion to thank the Catholic Church for their solidarity, support and understanding.

The governor also appreciated the Bishops and the Church for their contributions as well as sacrifice towards ensuring compliance with the state government’s proactive safety measures to contain COVID-19 pandemic.

Meanwhile, the amount of money donated by the catholic bishops were not disclosed
