Power Restored: Some Anambra Cities Shine Again

Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC)

The Enugu Electricity Distribution Company PLC (EEDC) has announced the successful restoration of power supply in parts of Anambra State following the completion of planned maintenance by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) at the GCM 132KV/33KV Station. The maintenance activity had resulted in a temporary power outage in the region over the past few days.

The affected 33KV feeders are now back in service, and electricity supply has been fully restored to customers as of yesterday evening.

The planned outage was necessitated by the need for TCN engineers to conduct maintenance on their facilities, including the temporary shutdown of the 60MVA power transformer at the GCM station. EEDC had earlier communicated this maintenance exercise to its customers in Anambra State, seeking their cooperation and understanding during the brief interruption.
