In the aftermath of the Supreme Court’s ratification of the Court of Appeal’s decision on the Enugu State gubernatorial election, solidifying Barr. Peter Mbah’s position as Governor, Dr. Gabriel Ajah, the ENSUBEB Chairman, embarked on a series of church visits to express gratitude.
Accompanied by a gathering of family, friends, and colleagues, Ajah not only conveyed appreciation but also extended generosity to the less privileged by donating food items and gifts.
Amid the jubilant atmosphere at the Assemblies of God Church in Nkerefi, where a congregation had assembled to celebrate Governor Mbah’s electoral and legal triumphs, Ajah lauded the governor’s accomplishments in his initial 200 days in office. With an optimistic outlook, he forecasted a transformative and magical 2024 for the state.
Taking a moment to acknowledge the unwavering support of the communities and the entire Enugu State, Ajah assured residents that Governor Mbah remained dedicated to elevating their living standards, eradicating poverty, and positioning the state as a prime investment hub.
Highlighting specific achievements, Ajah pointed to the groundbreaking water project that saw the state producing an impressive 120 million liters of water daily within a span of less than 180 days. He emphasized the initiation of the construction of 81 roads across the state, marking a significant milestone in infrastructure development.
Addressing the crucial issue of security, Ajah confidently asserted Enugu State’s newfound status as the most peaceful state in Nigeria. He attributed this transformation to Governor Mbah’s efforts in restoring confidence and order, allowing residents to return for Christmas and New Year celebrations without fear.
In his closing statements, the chairman underscored the multifaceted progress across various sectors in the state, concluding the occasion as a moment to express gratitude to God and offer prayers for the continued success of Governor Mbah and his team in their commendable efforts.
