In a shocking turn of events, former Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation and the first Civilian Governor of Abia State, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, has tragically passed away.
Sources confirm that Dr. Onu breathed his last in the early hours of this morning at an Abuja hospital.
“He is dead, but its left for the family to annouce it”.
Dr. Onu, born on December 1, 1951, in Ohaozara, had been a prominent figure in Nigerian politics, serving in various capacities including as Minister under the government of President Muhammadu Buhari.
His tenure as Minister witnessed significant strides in the fields of science, technology, and innovation.
