In a shocking turn of events, a fierce blaze has erupted within the premises of the Canadian High Commission to Nigeria, situated in the heart of Abuja’s bustling Central Business District. This alarming incident was first brought to light by The PUNCH.

Amiola Adebayo, the Head of Operations at the FCT Fire Service, confirmed the tragedy in a telephone interview. He revealed that two individuals have tragically lost their lives as a result of the fire, while an additional three to four victims have been expeditiously transported to nearby medical facilities for urgent treatment.

Adebayo stated, “Yes, this is an unfortunate reality. We regrettably report two fatalities, and several others are currently receiving medical attention, totaling between three to four injured individuals.”
