Nigeria First Lady, Aisha Buhari has commended her predecessor and wife of the former president, Dame Patience Jonathan for releasing her hospital to be used as a Covid19 isolation center.
Aisha Buhari gave the commendation using her twitter handle after distribution and donation of items to hospitals in Federal Capital, Abuja, Gombe and Bauchi states respectively.
In her words, “Today, I started the distribution of the donated items including hospital beds, bed-sheets, Personal Protective Equipment-PPE and different medications and many others to FCT, Gombe and Bauchi”.
“This is to continue with other states that are in dire need of these items to support on the fight against Covid19. APPRECIATION”
“I would like to express my appreciation to all those who responded to our call through my GET INVOLVED INITIATIVE to contribute towards the fight against Covid 19”.
“I thank Nigerians particularly all Former First Ladies for their Goodwill and some contributions in kind especially Dame Patience Jonathan for willingly releasing her hospital that’s in court but still under her possession to be used as a Covid -19 isolation center TEMPORARILY”.
“All the donated items including hospital beds, bed-sheets, Personal Protective Equipment-PPE and medications will be distributed immediately to centres where they will be utilized appropriately”. “It is my earnest prayers for the end of this global pandemic” she added.
