Abuja, Nigeria- On Wednesday, May 23, 2024, the Abuja Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) apprehended 26 individuals suspected of engaging in internet fraud.

The arrests were made in New Nyanya, Nasarawa State, following actionable intelligence that indicated their involvement in various fraudulent online activities.

The EFCC’s swift operation highlights its ongoing efforts to combat cybercrime across the country.

During the operation, the EFCC seized over 30 mobile phones and 3 laptops from the suspects. These items are believed to be linked to their illicit activities.
