Enugu State Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Engr Sir Greg Nnaji (fnse,fnice) has inspected the Ongoing road construction of Ibagwa-Aka-Itchi 3 kilometres roads ( IGBO-EZE SOUTH, West) and Iheaka-Ihunowere (3Kilometres road(IGBO-EZE SOUTH, East) and Erosion Control Works along Eke Likke – Iheaka junction – Amagu Uwani – Amagu Uwani – Ekoi Iheaka – Iheaka-Ihunowere- Iheakpu awka road Projects by the Enugu state Government.
The Hon Commissioner For Works and infrastructure Engr Sir Greg Nnaji who was accompanied by the Executive Chairman of IGBO-EZE SOUTH, Hon. VITUS OKECHI and his Deputy, Hon. EJIKE AMEDU (Kpakpando)
confirmed that work is simultaneously ongoing in the two road projects.
Engr. Nnaji after inspecting the projects stated that the administration of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi is the first to emback on standard road guage in both the urban and rural areas of the State.

Nnaji added that Governor Ugwuanyi’s has regards to the rural dwellers and remains a hero of democracy and rural development, improving the economy of the communities with good roads electricity, Water, and other social amenities.
With construction of the roads, Engr Nnaji added that it will enable the villagers bring their agricultural produce, earn more profits when completed.
He stressed that the Government of Rt Hon Dr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has embraced a policy of START TO FINISH.
In his words “once he gives directives and the project is presented to Executive Council members for it to commence, the project is expected to finish at a time designed for it.
He therefore revealed that duration of the two road projects in Igboeze South LGA is six months.
While commending the benefiting communities, Engr Greg pleaded with communities who are yet to benefit from this particular Phase, especially ALOR-AGU and UNADU, to remain hopeful as the Government has determined to extend the roads to other remote areas.
Meanwhile, the Executive Chairman of lgbo Eze South, Hon Vitus Okechi thanked His Excellency Rt Hon Dr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for embarking on the road projects, and listening to the cry of their people.
In his words “we are seeing it as a dream come true, at least in our lifetime, we are witnessing this kind of development in our Local Government today”.
He promised that after completion, the Local Government and the community will own this project, and ensure the maintenance of the roads so that they will last longer and will be of benefit to our people.
The dignitaries that graced the occasion include Special Adviser to Governor, Hon Okey Ugwueze, Director-General Igbo Eze South Mr. Emma Ishiwu, and others.
