Covid19: NCDC Deploys Rapid Response Team To Kano State

Nigeria center for Disease Control (NCDC) has deployed Rapid Response Team to Kano.

The agency made this known in official message on their verified twitter handle on Saturday, May 2nd, 2020.

NCDC said the team are visiting communities; “we are visiting these communities to ensure that people are aware of how to protect themselves, but also actively search for cases that may be unreported”

They revealed that across the country, their biomedical engineers are working 24/7 to activate new laboratories as well as provide preventive and corrective maintenance services to keep Nigeria’s laboratories running.

Meanwhile according to the record made available by the NCDC, Kano state has topped Lagos on the number of recorded cases of Covid19.

They also released a new sensitization campaign tagged “Na Your Hand E Dey”.

NCDC emphasized that “we are stronger if we stand together as a country to reduce the risk of spread of #COVID19. Let’s all do our part & adhere to guidelines put in place by public health authorities. Do it for yourself & for everyone around you”
