Coach of Dakkada FC of Akwa, Caleb Esu has expressed his displeasure over the lack of financial motivation for his players, back room staffs and officials of the club, adding that the situation is having psychological impact on the team.

In a telephone chat with the coach, the club is a relative young side and want to carve a niche of itself. The club has been on half salaries and bonuses since Sept 2019 till date, that’s why the team is under performing dropping from 4th position to 8th if the NPFL table.

According to the former Udoji United and Go Round FC gaffer, he is indeed grateful to the commissioner for Youth and Sports for his massive support for the club stating that it has never been easy motivating the players.

Reacting on the lock down directives from the health authorities due to the coronavirus pandemic, he has been in contact with his players, encouraging them to keep up with their training programs and also avoid crowded places. Recall that Dakkada FC has won 8 games, drawn 10, lost 8 and are on 34 points in the current NPFL season.
