Former Ogun State Sports Commissioner, Bukola Olopade had praised the Nigerian medical personnel for taking so much risk in saving the lives of victim of coronavirus. Recall that Olopade, Chief executive officer of Nilayo Sports management, organizers of the Lagos City Marathon was confirmed positive for coronavirus after his return from the UK but have been discharged after his second test confirmed negative of the virus.
According to Olopade in a video released after his discharge from the isolation centre over the weekend, he is indeed grateful to God for sparing his life especially going through the psychological and coronavirus battle. Also acknowledging the efforts of the Lagos State government for responding rapidly to the situation and the medical personnel because they gave their all to ensure the lives of the carriers are saved.
He further added that 3 weeks ago when he tested positive, he had to come out and explain to the people he is responsible to and the society. Many people has praised him for his courage at a time when some people are going into hiding for fear of stigmatization.
