Fact Check: NCDC Yet To Officially Remove Enugu From Covid19 Infected States

There is vital observation in recent declaration by the Enugu State Ministry of Health that the two covid19 cases in the state have been treated and discharged. According to press statements accredited to the state commissioner for Health, Prof. Ike Obi the two people earlier isolated for covid19 have been discharged.

Meanwhile, a close observation on the dates as well as when the state ministry ministry of Health discharged the first person on Wednesday and lately discharge of the second person on Thursday night show contradiction with the record twitted online by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC).

News Center Nigeria observed that while Enugu State Ministry of Health has declared that the last covid19 patient is discharged, the NCDC is yet to officially update their official twitter.

Secondly, on Wednesday, April 15th, 2020 when Enugu state government announced the discharge of the first patient, NCDC did not do the same, but continued to twit that Enugu has two cases of covid19.

At the moment of this report, it is almost twelve hours since Enugu state declared free from the virus, there is no official update from the NCDC.

Meanwhile, the contridiction between the NCDC update and Enugu state ministry of Health Has continued to raise more concern about the management of COVID19 Pandemic in Nigeria.
