The Archbishop of Enugu Ecclesiastical Province, Most Reverend Emmanuel Chukwuma has called on the Christians faithful to give more time to the Enugu state government on the demand to relaxation of lockdown in the state for Easter Celebration.

Archbishop Emmanuel Chukwuma made this appeal through one of his verified social media platforms after Abia State Government Announced two days relaxation of lock down in the state for Easter Celebration.

Archbishop Chukwuma said Enugu state government is studying the situation of the two earlier announced cases of covid19 in the state and insisted that there is need for all Christians to abide by the rules of the Government.

He wrote, thus;

“I want to call upon all Christians in Enugu state to be patient with our Governor who is studying the situation of the 2indices of Covid19 we have”. “We should continue in prayers and abide by the rules of the Government for the shutdown. We shall worship online and privately to glorify God, this Easter.”

Meanwhile it could be recalled that the Leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) paid a courtesy visit to Enugu state government less than forty hours ago where they endorsed the palliative measures initiated by the government in curbing spread of covid19 in the state.
