OFFICE OF THE STATE PUBLICITY SECRETARY, THE ALL PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS (APC), EBONYI CHAPTER

Dear National Chairman of our great party, Comr. Adams Oshiohmole,

LETTER OF APPEAL FOR PALLIATIVE GRANTS TO PARTY EXECUTIVE MEMBERS IN STATES WITHOUT APC GOVERNMENT TO CUSHION THE EFFECTS OF COVID-19 EMERGENCY

I bring you greetings from the Salt of the Nigerian clime, sir, members of the National Executive Council and other relevant organs steering the ship of our great party.

I want to use this sleek opportunity to suggest or request that you should use your good office as the National Chairman of the party to fashion out provisions for palliative packages for the executive members of our party in each of the states the party has no government on seat to relieve party members the pain of the overbearing and smothering effects of the Coronavirus influenced curfew nationwide.

Sir, you could recall that earlier before the emergence of this Coronavirus effect, our party members in the states controlled by opposition political parties had been finding it hard in various ways to cope with the daily demands of livelihood. Now, such excruciating experiences have increased in relation to the fact that movements and commercial activities have been halted all in a bid to save human lives and dignity and protect our dear country from being gnawed down by the covid-19 threat.

Mr Chairman, sir, I know carrying this out could be laborious but I am of the opinion that since our party controls the centre, political appointees at the national should be mandated to make some contributions joined together of which can go a long way to help reach out to our party members and executive members to keep the wheel of life rolling in this moment of national austerity. This would go a long way to restore hope in the minds of our teeming members some of whom might have lost faith with the party in one way or another and make them to actually know that the party cares.

Sir, I am particularly awed by the moves you have made so far to reconcile aggrieved stakeholders of the party since after the leadership whirl that swirled around the foot of the party recently. It’s my utmost conviction that the fledgling peace frond in the garden of the party will blossom to the benefit of all members as I pray God to inhale into you the oxygen of greater wisdom to pilot the affairs of the party.

I have the faith that this subtle request/suggestion would yield good fruits in utmost immediacy. Sir, I would like to let you know that this letter is exclusively coming from my office as the Publicity Secretary of the party in Ebonyi and not arising from any meeting of either the State Working Committee or the SEC of the party in Ebonyi State.

God bless you, sir!

Yours sincerely,

  • Nwoba C. Nwoba,
State Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ebonyi and member of the Conference of APC Publicity Secretaries in Nigeria
