Covid19: Pray that our lives are saved – Igwe Murphy Chukwu Reacts

Community Leaders have continued to advocate for total obedience to the stipulated guidelines by the state and Federal governments in the fight to curb spread of dreaded Corona virus.

The President General, Odume Achara Autonomous Community, Pius Ani with the traditional ruler of the community, His Royal Highness, Igwe Muphy Chukwu continued the advocacy during an interview on the negative impact of covid19 at the community level.

Ani said to defeat this Pandemic our people must understand that life is more important than anything, adding that the present situation in the world is a fight to be alive and a race for survival.

He opined that for the fact that the outbreak of Covid-19 has forced the postponement of several events in the country and the world at large; Enugu state as well as Oduma Autonomous Community were not left out of the negative impact which indicate the seriousness of the situation.

Also, the Traditional Ruler of Odume Achara, Autonomous community, His Royal Highness, Igwe Muphy Chukwu added that in obedience to social distancing order, the community has to postpone their Annual General Meeting, earlier fixed for 13 and 14th of April this month, indefinitely.

Igwe Muphy Chukwu said the Easter Football festival known as the Odume Achara Easter football league is equally postponed indefinitely, with many traditional marriage as well as other ceremonies postponed; just to say the least about negative impact of covid19 in their community, he added.

Chuchwu said Covid19 is a worldwide problem best described as a natural disaster which no one can be blamed.

He called on all indigenes of the as Oduma Autonomous Community as well as everyone in Nigeria to pray that our lives are saved at the end of the day.
