The Executive Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has announced that the state will pay the hospital bills of everyone who feel sick and admitted in the state secondary health facilities during the moment of lockd-own.

Babajide Sanwo-Olu made this known yesterday while providing update on the Covid19 situation in the state and what the government is doing to encourage Lagosians to stay at home. He said the idea to pay the medical bills of anyone who eventually feel ill at the moment of lock down was to ease the burden of stay at home on the families.

In his words “as part of our effort to lessen the burden of Lagosians, I announced that for the period of the lock-down, we will take full responsibility for the medical bills of patients admitted into all Lagos state-owned secondary healthcare facilities”. “I want to salute our people for your cooperation so far. the restrictions have started paying off”.

He further provided update on the new survival of Covid19 release from the isolation center in the state as well as the patients still taking medications.

“The @ncdcgov has informed us that they have been able to take advantage of the absence of traffic to make appreciable progress in their contact tracing for #covid19 patients”. “All the patients in our isolation centres are doing well. one more patient was discharged this afternoon making it a total of 24 patients treated and discharged by the state”.

Together we will defeat #covid19, he added.
