The Resident Missioner, NKST (Universal Reformed Christian Church) Enugu, Nigeria, the Reverend Tor-ruam Jacob Ternenge, says Coronavirus is a reminder from God that humanity has kept a distance from Him.
The Reverend Ternenge, who spoke with News Center Nigeria, insisted that God brought the sickness upon the world as a form of warning. He added that humanity have deviated and followed their own principles. In his words, ‘Covid-19 originated from God; Coronovirus isn’t scientific, it is just a normal disease to remind His people that they are keeping away from Him”

Reverend Ternenge said, it was disobedience and living in sin that made God appeared far in the face of the prevailing circumstance, maintaining that God would use this time to teach humanity some lessons. The Reverend asked Nigerians to use this opportunity to ask God for forgiveness and with the conviction that He would intervene.
Meanwhile, he did not rule out that God would use some scientific means to restore hope, in the form of developing a vaccine, but insisted that humanity must acknowledge the supreme power of God.
He said, ”God uses various ways to bring relief to people when He had it enough, or when He is done with people how He decided to do that”. ‘Now what we are experiencing at present, if He feels that He will use the scientific knowledge of scientists to bring relief to people, perhaps He will give them the knowledge to do that,” the clergyman stated”.

The man of God did not fail to condemn the level of corruption, hate, wickedness, divisions and evil in the world. He called on humanity to embrace Christ, stressing that the prevailing circumstance in the world was a great opportunity for mankind to reconcile themselves to God, and trust Him completely.
