Apart from the affected families, the newly reconstructed Laboratories, Administrative and Classroom Blocks at Community Secondary School, Amagunze, were raked by rain storm.
The Incident which happened around 7:30pm on March 31st, left the school scattered with only two class room blocks untouched.
A Community leader, Ozor Francis Nnamani said the level of destruction in the school is disheartening and worrisome as the community equally lost the laboratory and library blocks that was recently rehabilitated by people of goodwill in the community.
“Worthy to assert here is the laboratory which the good spirited individuals of the town recently renovated after been gutted by the inferno was among the buildings destroyed by the rainstorm”.
Ozor appealed to the Enugu State Emergency Management Agency( SEMA), Nkanu East Local Government, the state Governor as well as well of well spirited Nigerians for intervention.
Meanwhile, the Principal, Ignatius Obusi has already taken the records of the inventories destroyed by the storm for onward submission to the Post Primary Management Board ( PPSMB) and other relevant bodies for necessary actions.
